website development

A website development company in Punjab that ships fast sites on purpose.

Website development is the work of turning a design into something a browser can load quickly and a search engine can read. We build custom WordPress, Shopify and hand-coded sites without page builders, which is why our pages load in under two seconds rather than the eight to ten a builder-assembled site typically takes. Every build ships with structured data, clean heading markup and Core Web Vitals inside Google thresholds, because retrofitting those afterwards costs more than doing them first.

What is in every build

Not an upsell list. These are the things a site needs to work, so they are included rather than quoted separately.

A design you approved first

Figma before code. You sign off every screen, with two rounds of revisions included, so nothing is a surprise at handover.

Custom blocks, not a page builder

You edit every heading, image and button visually inside WordPress. The difference is that the page sends only the code it actually uses, and your layouts are stored as content rather than as builder shortcodes that break if you ever change theme.

Core Web Vitals inside thresholds

Largest contentful paint under two seconds, interaction to next paint under 150 milliseconds, cumulative layout shift under 0.05. Measured on a throttled connection, not on office fibre.

Structured data

Organization, breadcrumbs, and the schema type each page actually needs. This is what makes a listing eligible for rich results instead of appearing as a plain blue link.

Responsive down to 320 pixels

Tested on real devices. Most traffic in India is mobile, so mobile is where the build is checked first rather than last.

Analytics and Search Console wired up

Verified and submitting a sitemap on launch day, in accounts you own. Not in ours, so leaving costs you nothing.

WordPress, Shopify or hand-built?

The honest version. Most agencies recommend whatever they build fastest. These are the actual trade-offs.

Best for

WordPress
Content-led sites, service businesses, blogs
Shopify
Selling products, especially with variants
Hand-built
Applications and anything unusual

Who can edit it

WordPress
Anyone, after ten minutes of training
Shopify
Anyone, for products and pages
Hand-built
A developer

Ongoing cost

WordPress
Hosting only
Shopify
Monthly platform fee plus transaction fees
Hand-built
Hosting only

SEO ceiling

WordPress
None worth worrying about
Shopify
Some, mainly URL structure and faceted navigation
Hand-built
None

Time to build

WordPress
3 to 8 weeks
Shopify
4 to 10 weeks
Hand-built
Quoted per project

Biggest risk

WordPress
Plugin sprawl if nobody maintains it
Shopify
Platform fees as you grow
Hand-built
Depends on one developer

If you are not sure, the answer is usually WordPress for a service business and Shopify for a shop. We will say so on the first call rather than scoping something bigger. If you want the WordPress detail specifically, the WordPress development page goes further.

why it costs more

Custom build against a page builder

The same site, built two ways. This is the difference people are buying when they ask why one quote is higher than another.

Recommended Custom build
Page builder build
Load time
Under 2 seconds, targeted on every build
Commonly 8 to 10 seconds on a loaded page
What ships to the browser
Only the code the page actually uses
A stylesheet and a script for every widget in the library
Core Web Vitals
Built to pass by construction
The most common reason a WordPress site fails them
How you edit it
Custom blocks, edited visually in WordPress itself
A page builder plugin you now depend on
If you change theme
Content is stored in the database and survives
Layouts are stored as builder shortcodes and break
Ongoing licence
None
Annual, for as long as you want the site editable

Figures in the page builder column are measured from the previous version of this site, which was built that way.

To be fair to page builders: for a five page brochure site that nobody will ever optimise, one is a perfectly reasonable choice and cheaper to produce. The trade only turns bad when the site has to rank, load fast, or still be editable after a redesign.

How a build runs

The price is fixed at stage two. Nothing after that is billed by the hour.

  1. Discovery call

What the site is for, who it is for, and what it needs to do that the current one does not. Thirty minutes, no deck.

  2. Scope and fixed quote

Pages, features, integrations and timeline in writing. You approve a number, not an estimate.

  3. Design in Figma

Every screen, approved before code. Two rounds of revisions included.

  4. Build on staging

A private URL you can watch daily. Tested against real devices and Core Web Vitals as we go, not at the end.

  5. Launch

Redirects mapped from the old URLs, analytics and Search Console verified, sitemap submitted, handover documented.

  6. Thirty days of support

Included. Anything broken is fixed free. Ongoing maintenance is optional and priced separately.

Questions about building a site

How much does website development cost in Punjab?

A brochure site of five to eight pages starts from ₹35,000 and an e-commerce build from ₹60,000. The number moves with page count, custom functionality, and whether we are writing the content and taking the photography. Prices last reviewed September 2026.

Will I be able to edit the site myself?

Yes. You edit every heading, paragraph, image and button visually inside WordPress. What you cannot do is accidentally delete a section, reorder the page, or turn a heading into the wrong level, because the templates are locked to protect the structure the SEO work depends on.

What happens to my current rankings when the site changes?

They are protected by mapping every old URL to its new one before launch. Rankings usually wobble for two to four weeks after any rebuild and recover as Google recrawls. Where the technical foundations improve, they generally end up better than before.

Do you provide hosting?

No, and that is deliberate. Hosting in our name would make leaving us harder than it should be. We will recommend a host, set it up in your account, and configure it properly. You own it from day one.

What if I need changes after launch?

Thirty days of support are included, and anything broken is fixed free. Beyond that, small changes are quoted per job and ongoing maintenance is available monthly. Most clients on a locked template make their own content changes and never need us for them.
