Pricing, published: what a website actually costs and why.
A small business website in India typically runs between ₹35,000 and ₹1,20,000 depending on how many pages it needs, whether it sells anything, and how much of the content you write yourself. Search and advertising work is monthly rather than one-off. The ranges below are real ranges, not a starting price with everything important priced separately.

Why the ranges are so wide
Five things move a quote more than anything else. Knowing them lets you control the number.
Who writes the content
Content is usually the largest single line on a website quote and the most common reason a project stalls. If you supply finished copy, the cost drops noticeably. If we research and write it, it rises, and the site usually performs better in search.
How many genuinely different page layouts
Twenty pages built from five layouts cost far less than eight pages that are all different. Page count matters less than layout count.
Whether it takes money
Payments, tax, shipping rules and stock bring integrations and testing that an enquiry form does not.
How competitive the search terms are
Ranking for a term in one city is a different project from ranking for it nationally. The work scales with what you are up against, not with your budget.
How much already exists
A brand with finished identity, photography and product data is faster to build for than one starting from nothing.
How a price gets agreed
Six steps from an enquiry to a number that does not move.
-
You tell us roughly what you need
A URL and two sentences is usually enough to start. You do not need a specification, and writing one before you have spoken to anybody is normally wasted effort.
-
We ask the five questions that move the number
Who writes the content, how many genuinely different layouts there are, whether the site has to take money, how competitive the search terms are, and how much already exists. Those are the five above, and your answers are what turn a range into a price.
-
You get a written scope
Deliverables listed, and anything not listed named as not included. A quote that is vague about its edges is a quote that becomes an argument in month three.
-
The price is fixed against that scope
Not an estimate, not a day rate, and not a number that grows as the project goes on. If we have scoped it wrong, that is our problem rather than your invoice.
-
Changes are quoted before they are done
Scope changes are normal and expected. What is not normal is finding one on an invoice, so a change that adds work is priced and agreed first. The terms say the same thing in the language a contract needs.
-
Third party costs stay in your name
Hosting, domains, paid plugins, stock imagery and advertising spend are billed at cost or paid by you directly to the supplier. Where you pay directly, the account is yours and leaving us costs you nothing.
What is always included
Not upsells. These are part of every build, because a site without them is not finished.
How much does a website cost in India?
For a small business site of five to eight pages, expect ₹35,000 to ₹70,000. A single page site starts lower, around ₹18,000. Larger sites built to rank, and e-commerce stores, run from ₹70,000 upward. The main variables are page count, whether it sells anything, and who writes the content.
Do you ask for payment up front?
Yes, in two parts. Fifty per cent of the fixed price is due when you accept the quote, and the remaining fifty per cent before the site goes live. Monthly services are billed at the start of each month. Prices exclude GST, which is added to the invoice where it applies.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
Hosting and the domain, both paid directly to the provider so you keep control of them, typically ₹4,000 to ₹12,000 a year for a small business site. A care plan is optional. Search and advertising work is separate and monthly.
Is ad spend included in the management fee?
No, and be careful with anyone who says it is. You pay Google or Meta directly from your own account, so you can see exactly what was spent and you keep the account and its history if you ever leave.
Can I start small and add to it later?
Yes, and it is often the sensible route. A tight five page site that ranks beats a twenty page site that took six months and lost momentum. We build so that adding pages later does not mean rebuilding.
Why is SEO priced monthly when a website is not?
A website is finished at some point. Search is not, because competitors keep publishing and search engines keep changing. Anyone selling SEO as a one-off is selling you an audit and calling it a service.
