Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Dice Codes collects, why, how long it is kept, and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to our work with clients.

in practice

What happens to a message you send us

The sections below are the formal version. This is the same thing in six steps.

  1. It arrives in two places

The inbox, and an enquiry log inside this website's own database on our hosting. Both are covered by the list of providers further down this page.

  2. A person reads it, and only the people who need to

Whoever replies, and whoever does the work if a project starts. It is not circulated more widely than that and it is not used to build a profile of you.

  3. It is never sold or traded

No mailing lists, no data brokers, and nothing shared so that somebody else can advertise to you. If that ever changed, this page would say so before it happened.

  4. Every provider that touches it is named

Hostinger hosts this website and our email, and blog comments use Gravatar for profile pictures. Each is listed below with what it receives.

  5. It is kept only while it is useful

Enquiries that do not turn into projects are kept only while they are useful, and deleted when you ask. Client records are kept for as long as Indian tax and GST record-keeping rules require, which is at least six years.

  6. You can ask for it back or deleted

Email contact@dicecodes.com and we act on it. There is no form to complete and no retention team to argue with, and you do not have to explain why you are asking.

What we collect

Information you give us

Your name, email address, phone number and anything else you include when you contact us or fill in a form. We use it to reply and to deliver work you have asked for.

Information collected automatically

This website runs no analytics scripts and no advertising pixels. When you send the contact form, your enquiry also records your IP address, your browser, the page you first arrived on, the site that linked you here and any campaign tags in that link. We use these to filter spam and to see which of our work brings enquiries in. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The contact form remembers the page you arrived on for the length of your visit using your browser’s session storage, which is not a cookie, is never sent to us until you submit the form, and is cleared when you close the tab. WordPress sets functional cookies only if you leave a comment and choose to have your name and email remembered, or if a site administrator logs in.

How we use it

To reply to enquiries, to deliver and support work you have commissioned, to send invoices, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we share it only with the service providers needed to run the business.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept only while they are useful and are deleted when you ask. Client records are kept for as long as Indian tax and GST record-keeping rules require, which is at least six years.

5

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to contact@dicecodes.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date below and, where the change affects you directly, tell you. Last updated 13 September 2026.

This policy sits alongside our terms and conditions. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will answer plainly rather than pointing at a clause.
